Habits and routines were something I thought only applied to working out and eating healthy—but I was so wrong.

This book opened my eyes and my heart to the incredible opportunities we have to establish key habits of family discipleship within our already busy lives.

Cherish—what’s that? A sissy word? No. It’s a word of endearment, and it can (and should) be shown to my wife. Oh, how selfish and prideful I’ve been.

This book has helped me reframe how I see Tyler, my wife. Every time I pick it up, it challenges me to ask: How can I truly ‘cherish’ her today?

I want to accomplish a lot. I have tons of random ideas that I naturally assume are all good. Are they? No. When I keep them to myself, they stay stuck in my mind—and I get stuck too.

Not just stuck in inaction, but stuck holding on to bad ideas for too long, still thinking they’re good. It’s paralyzing. Trying to work on all your ideas alone is dumb, impossible, and expensive. This book has helped me shift my thinking: Who can help me? Who has the experience to advance these ideas and actually get things rolling?

"I am an exile headed home; therefore I will spend this life seeking Christ, storing up what lasts forever, and preparing my heart for the endless joy, purpose, and wonder of the world to come."

This book expanded my view of eternity, replacing uncertainty with anticipation and helping me see heaven not merely as a destination, but as my true home with Christ.

Are habits good or bad? Why do I get stuck on & in my goals?

This book is helping me to stop obsessing over outcomes and start improving the inputs. Small daily actions, consistently repeated, rather than occasional bursts of motivation. It reminded me that every habit is casting a vote for my future self, and that small choices made consistently can transform a life over time.

Godly character is rarely built in dramatic moments; it is formed through thousands of small, faithful choices repeated over time. The habits I practice today are shaping the person I will become tomorrow.
